Outreach is a Valued Commitment
Outreach is a valued commitment of ours. We have an ongoing relationship with Manatee Elementary School providing sweatshirts for every child each December along with school supplies each summer. Other outreach expressions of our church include our thrift store, 10th Avenue Thrift, a growing relationship with the North River Care Pregnancy Center, the East Coast Migrant Head Start Project and assisting the local homeless community with food and clothing.
Our Thrift store is now open!!
Our thrift store is now open on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from 12-3 PM and Saturdays 10AM-2PM. We have new deals every week on clothing and other items in our store. You can use credit and debit cards or cash.
Feeding Our Homeless Neighbors
Every month we prepare over 50 meals for our homeless neighbors in 2 locations.. Thank you to all who donate food and funds along with those who prepare and deliver the meals each week.
If you would like to help in some way (financially or otherwise) please contact Joan Bryden through our office email, office@ppcfl.org.
Our Outreach Continues
All our outreach ministries continue and are needed more now than ever before.
Homeless Outreach Ministry:
Apples, oranges, bananas, fresh broccoli, assorted lunch meats and sliced cheeses, white and wheat bread, assorted canned beans and vegetables, chips, pretzels, assorted cookies and granola bars. Suggestion: Our menus change each week, instead of going to the store you can give your gift to the church in a check. Mark the check “Homeless” in the memo section or indicate an amount if you are sending it in your regular giving check. We can consolidate the funds and purchase the items on your behalf.
East Coast Head Start Migrant Center
Head Start feeds approximately 61 children, ages newborn to 5 years old, breakfast and lunch while their parents work in the fields. We have been involved in this ministry for over 2 years and it is very special. All foods must be non-perishable and include canned, boxed and packaged foods for breakfast and lunch meals. In addition, children’s toiletries such as toothbrushes, toothpaste, soap, shampoo etc., for children are very helpful.
Once again, the same suggestion applies here. Just indicate “Migrant Children” on your check.
Your support of any or all of these outreach ministries will make a big impact on the people who are so often ignored or forgotten. Thank you for your faithful support.
